King Cole Homespun DK Review

I have started knitting a baby blanket with this yarn, (but any DK yarn would work equally well – yardage & tension may differ slightly).

I am following free pattern ZIG ZAG SET. This is quite a simple pattern. Once I completed a few rows, it was easy to memorize without consulting pattern for every row.

I chose the colourway Mother of Pearl 5101. This is a lovely dusty pink with dark nebs.

A standard spun yarn with neps that gives extra texture and interest. This beautiful fibre blend includes Merino & Alpaca making this yarn ideal for all your knit projects.

Balled as doughnut, this gives an additional elegance to this yarn.

Pros:

  • Very soft to work with.
  • Wonderful drape and stitch definition.
  • DK weight makes this yarn quick to work up.
  • Machine wash.

Cons:

  • Neps tend to come off easily.
  • Machine drying not recommended.
